photos captured on iPhone 5, by Vanessa
vintage oversize cardigan + denim jacket + pleated skirt + bag, crochet crop top, white Palladium boots
Crap weather makes perfect sense for layering, no? These photos were taken a few minutes before Vanessa and I parted, after a fulfilling day of shopping (you cannot see my bag of shopping here because someone else is holding it, hahaha). And these white Palladium boots have been on my mind since the day I saw a classmate wear them (apparently she got hers from Amsterdam), but by some miracle I found a pair for sale on Urban Outfitters. Now if that isn't fashion fate, then I don't know what it is.
Dear Online Shopping Buddha, thank you very much for allowing me to chance upon the coolest white boots ever (ON SALE EVEN).
Yours sincerely, Tia.

A quick update: no, I am not dead.
I have risen from the ashes (known as fashion school) and have begun the R&R process to get myself back to, well, myself.

p.s. grainy photo, I know. iPhone quality isn't always the best.

Walked past this art display room on my way out of Gloria Jeans (opposite the art gallery) and decided to come in and take a look at the new art.
So glad I did, or else I never would've found this amazing chrome gnome. Imagine my even greater delight when I found it standing tall and proud in the World store!

Apologies for the absence, assignments from uni were steadily piling up and there was no time for a break until now.
First Saturday off work in a while! Threw on this coat (the red is even brighter in real life) and went out to do some weekend grocery shopping. Can you believe these photos were taken on an iPhone? The camera on the 5 is just ... wow.

BGM: Shiny Toy Guns - Season of Love
Our very first video diary! Aptly named 'vanilla tea video diary', hahaha. I came upon this song a few years ago while watching the Gossip Girl season 3 finale. Stumbled on it again tonight while choosing the background music for the video diary and thought this was nice, especially with the soft singing and marching band drum beat.

Holidays have finished for V but I've still got a week left. These holidays have been highly unproductive, just the way I like it. Catching up on sleep, shows, friends, and good food. Seen a couple of new movies and tried new restaurants that I've never had the time to do before.
Today we went out for lunch, and although the weather was a bit chilly, I still wanted to wear this top. I made it over the weekend in the studio, because the fabric was far too cute not to buy. Glad I did, because I'm sure this top will be a staple with denim shorts when summer rolls back around.
Happy Monday!

Glassons jacket, Zara blouse and jeans
Winter dressing at it's laziest. I've defaulted to the basic blouse, jeans, jacket combination for when I can't be bothered putting together a proper outfit.
Rule: add a printed blouse for a interesting contrast that brightens any outfit.

an original garment by Tia Feng
This was my very first garment that I made as my first assignment in fashion. It turned out better than I expected, but looking back on it now with the skills I have acquired, I would remake it and to a better standard. Nevertheless, I am simply overjoyed at the fact that, for once, my design has become a reality.

vintage men's chambray shirt, buckaroo korea jeans, stylenanda bag, glassons beanie and shoes
Amazing what two minutes in a photo studio can do. Taking these photos was a on-the-spot idea, as Vanessa was testing out the camera and lighting. Which was why I was surprised they came out well.
Speedy shooting at its best.

Today's my last day before I go on mid-term break, just a short one though (sigh). Yesterday I caught up with T and some friends for coffee and to take some photos for a school project. We may have gotten distracted and went shopping while the sun went down, but it didn't matter, I'm happy with the final outcome.
Also back in March I was a bridesmaid for my cousins wedding, the event was so gorgeous, everyone looked amazing. I have some photos to post up so keep a look out for that soon :)

Both V and I are currently in the middle of our own projects, but we found some time to meet up for lunch and take some photos before the craziness of deadlines started again. Semester one will be over soon, which hopefully means more outfits!
Can't believe it's already been three weeks since I've been back from China, and only another three weeks until the holidays. Recently purchased Alexander Wang Frankie creepers, which have been haunting me for over a year. They are just so insanely perfect and badass that, if the weather permits, I would wear them every day. But sadly, that will never happen. Instead, I wear these Stella McCartney x Adidas trainers on lazy days, which are like second skin. Every time I wear them it feels like I'm walking on clouds. Cue corny music.

p.s. so in love with my Flash iphone case, even though people think I'm childish. But who cares what people think, ain't nobody got time for that.
Also, V and I are planning to update the blog to something more professional. Look out for when the new 'vanilla tea diary' drops!

Took these photos around 11pm one night in China.
The whole alleyway was empty and dark except for this one light.
Kind of creepy, but also thrilling.
My brother thinks I look like a dark witch.
Fits the creepy scene, doesn't it?

Just landed from Hong Kong today, ready to get back into the routine of uni.
Took these photos while walking past a construction site in China.
Surprisingly, the graffiti there isn't in Chinese.
Happy weekend,

photos by mum
asos studded acid denim jacket, LOVE crop top, glassons maroon dungarees, taupe jeffrey campbell litas, stylenanda sunglasses
Spent majority of today (Easter Sunday) rolled up in the duvet of my bed, catching up on season two of Revenge.
That is, until my mum so stubbornly demanded I accompany her to a family friend's house (pretty convinced it was just a ruse to get me out of my pajamas).
Nevertheless, this gave me the chance to pull out my new denim jacket and shoot some photos.
The jacket itself is perfection: the studs around the shoulder, the stark contrast between bleached and unbleached areas of the denim, and the loose boyfriend fit.
When I tried this on to show V, she said 'it's totally you.'
And like music to my impulsive-shopper ears, I bought the jacket immediately.
But unlike any other impulse buy, this one definitely had no regrets.
xxx,
