A few things I have found (after the first week of uni) that are necessities to a starting fashion student:

A pair of Raybans, preferably original Wayfarer.

A Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad case to add a pop of colour to any outfit.

Urban Ears headphones to zone out the sounds of nearby sewing machines.

A big (and cute) pencil case to carry a never ending collection of pencils and pens and bobbins.

A Moleskine diary for ideas on the go, and a Polaroid to capture these ideas.

A heavy LV key ring, so as to not be locked out of the house.

Wedge sneakers, for height and a boyish style when wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Cabernet nail polish, a cute ring, and pearl headband for a feminine touch.

And a sturdy printed Country Road bag to carry it all.
