To celebrate I recently went on a roadtrip with the fam on Sunday to Rotorua. Our journey started at 6am in the morning, the sun was still rising and just breathing in the morning air had never felt better. Its been about 5-6 years since I've been back to Rotorua, all I could remember was the superfast Huka Jets and the burning sulfur smell. 

We made a stop in Hamilton to visit the Waitomo Caves and that Haunted Hotel there >.<, then Rotorua was up next and then we finally made our way to Lake Taupo. We past by a lot of forests that reminded me of twilight, possibly an Edward Cullen waiting for me? (haha) and lots of mountains and farmland. There were cows, sheep and horses everywhere, who knew there were so many hiding in the countryside! lol
The day went by slowly, in a good way of course, and it was day full of fun, laughter and just enjoying some downtime with my family. My DSLR had over 1000 photos by the end of the day... (oh dear) imagine my trip back to China this summer... I might need a new memory card :D

We may have gotten lost on State Highway 39 due to following a map that was older than me, gotten a speeding ticket as well (go dad :p) and visited one of the most beautiful places in all of New Zealand. 

This just makes me want to go on another roadtrip with my friends! Who knows, maybe 2013 might make that come true :)
